Three of Houston’s most prestigious custom builders are now showcasing designs in The Reserve at First Bend, an elite gated enclave within Bridgeland.

The Reserve borders one of three lakes in this private enclave of just 20 homesites. Each home is designed to maximize the spectacular waterside panorama.

Tommy Bailey has built more than 1,200 custom homes in the Houston area during his 37-year career. A hands-on approach and attention to detail have made him a popular choice within upscale communities. He has built homes in more than 20 neighborhoods and crafted showcase homes that have won numerous awards. Named Custom Home Builder of the Year by the Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) in 2000, Bailey recently won the Texas Association of Builders’ prestigious Star Award for Best Custom Home priced above $2 million.

Another long-time builder, Ronny Carroll Custom Homes, has been constructing homes in the area for more than 30 years. Award-winning floor plans and careful attention from inception to completion have created a faithful following for Carroll. Greg Stirman, president of GPS Properties, LLC., has announced the expansion of his business operations to include custom home building and high-end custom home remodeling with the formation of GPS Custom Homes. Stirman is excited to bring aboard native Houston resident Greg Stephens as vice president of operations for the company. Stephens, an LSU graduate has been in the custom home-building business for more than 35 years and has achieved Graduate Master Builder status with the National Association of Home Builders. He is an active member of the Greater Houston Builders Association, the Custom Builders Council, the Custom Remodelers Council, and is vice chairman of the Custom Builders USA, Houston Purchasing Group. Stephens comes from a 12-year partnership with Masterpiece Homes and founder Gordon Boyle, who recently retired after many years of home building in the greater Houston and Clear Lake areas. GPS Custom Homes concentrates its construction efforts in the Spring Valley, Memorial Villages, West Houston, Katy, Sugar Land, Richmond, and Cypress areas.
