Bridgeland has developed a Master
Education Plan to provide for the educational needs of residents,
including pre-school sites, special needs school sites, private schools
and public schools. Additionally, Bridgeland is working with
universities to provide satellite locations and/or a University Center
as well as continuing education for adults.
Three highly acclaimed public school districts will serve the Bridgeland community: Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District, Katy Independent School District and Waller Independent School District.
Children living in the first phases of Bridgeland attend schools in the Cypress-Fairbanks ISD. Cy-Fair students benefit from a low student to teacher ratio of 15:1, 74 percent of Cy-Fair students go on to attend college and Cy-Fair is the largest district rated as “Recognized” by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Progressive curricula in state-of-the-art classrooms and a wide selection of extracurricular activities offer students an optimal environment for growth and success.

As Bridgeland matures, residents will find a multitude of licensed pre-school and childcare facilities offered by religious congregations as well as private entities to meet their needs, all conveniently located within their neighborhoods.
The Bridgeland education plan includes a comprehensive private school component to offer residents alternatives to public schools. The plan includes numerous highly accredited private schools that are easily accessible from Bridgeland.
Bridgeland is committed to providing educational opportunities to families with special needs and several locations are being considered to offer facilities for them.
(Every school district listed to the right has special needs programs available for its students on most of the campuses throughout the district. Cy-Fair has an additional facility noted to support its student body.)
With more than 20,000 new homes to be built in Bridgeland, plans for on-site schools are already underway. Those plans include six elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school. Bridgeland's first elementary school is slated to open in 2013.
The Bridgeland community is creating an environment that offers educational opportunities beyond high school.

Creating an environment for lifelong learning is also a top priority for the Bridgeland community. Multiple activity complexes will offer continuing educational courses in the classrooms and full-time Activities Directors will invite all ages to discover the environment through a comprehensive calendar of outdoor classes on bird-watching, entomology, fishing, non-motorized boating and more. The Harris County Public Library-Cy-Fair branch offers thousands of selections appealing to every age. The Bridgeland community plans to work with the Harris County Public Library to provide library locations within easy access of Bridgeland residents.
