The Bridgeland community’s already impressive model home park is expanding, as two builders increase their programs within the fast-growing Cypress community.
Hallmark Design Homes is introducing the “Classic Series” in Bridgeland —spaciously sized homes to accommodate large families. “Classic Series” homes will range in size from 2,800 to 4,600 square feet with expansive rooms, featuring four or five bedrooms, game rooms, media rooms and walk-in closets in secondary bedrooms. Several customizing options are available, including an option for a second master suite. These homes are being built in the new community of First Bend in the neighborhood of Meadow Bend.
Highland Homes, another current Bridgeland builder, is introducing a new series of upgraded design homes ranging from 2,091 to 3,072 square feet priced from the $180,000s to the $240,000s. Many of the homesites will have expansive lake views within the new First Bend neighborhood of Shady Bend.

Three well-known custom builders are now showcasing designs in The Reserve at First Bend, a gated enclave within the Bridgeland community, a 10,000-acre master-planned development in Cypress.
Each of the 27 homesites in The Reserve has lake frontage as well as a lake at the heart of the neighborhood is a dramatic focal point. All homes in The Reserve are designed to maximize the spectacular waterside panorama, said Peter Houghton, Bridgeland’s vice president of sales.
Builders Tommy Bailey Homes, Ronny Carroll Custom Homes and Masterpiece Homes will offer custom designs priced from the high $600,000s to more than $1 million in Bridgeland’s new First Bend neighborhood.
Tommy Bailey Homes will soon break ground on two homes in the neighborhood and Ronny Carroll Custom Homes will start construction on a third home. Each of the three homes, featuring country French or Tuscan styling, will be approximately 4,500 square feet. Bonus room options can increase the square footage to more than 5,000 square feet. Anticipated pricing on the homes ranges from the $680,000s to $820,0000s.

Reflecting the increasing popularity of the sport across the United States, the Bridgeland community’s 18-hole disc golf course illustrates the development’s innovative style.
Designed by Disc Golf Consultants and spanning more than 10 acres, the new Bridgeland course is nestled between the banks of Cypress Lake and Cypress Creek in Oak Meadow Park.
“This is arguably the best disc golf course in the southwest United States,” said Peter Houghton, the Bridgeland community’s vice president of sales. “And, with the challenging layout amid the wooded beauty of Oak Meadow Park, it’s another distinct amenity for our residents.”
Disc golf follows the basic rules of traditional golf, with players throwing special discs toward a target with the goal of reaching the target in as few throws as possible. The Bridgeland course offers three tee-offs, accommodating players of various skill levels. With throw lines crossing water and contoured with old-growth trees, the course provides stimulating fun.

You’ll find residents of the Bridgeland master-planned community poolside this weekend as the development officially welcomes its first recreation center, Lakeland Activity Center.
The resident “Splash Bash” promises plenty of aquatic fun, with a variety of games to keep the day lively and cool. Partygoers also will enjoy refreshments and favors. A July 21-22 event will introduce prospective Bridgeland buyers to the complex.
A focal point of the Lakeland Activity Center is a 6,000-square-foot Community Center featuring a fitness center with state-of-the-art cardiovascular and strength-training equipment. Meeting rooms are available for various resident meetings, parties, reunions and more. A serving kitchen with pass-through windows opens to several meeting rooms to streamline party hosting duties. A well-appointed great room with vaulted ceilings, skylights, a fireplace and comfortable seating greets residents and their guests.
The Community Center complements the architecture of Bridgeland’s Welcome Center, a replica of an early 20th-century Houston red brick Tudor home. A grand promenade offering panoramic sunset, bridge and nature views surrounds Lake Bridgeland, one of several stocked lakes where residents can fish on a catch-and-release basis.
