With homes priced from the $380,000s. Partners in Building offers 27 designs in Bridgeland, ranging from 3,213 square feet to 4,992 square feet. Two homes are ready now, including a four-bedroom, 3.5-bath home at 18818 N. Thomas Shore Drive. A spiral staircase with wrought-iron balusters leads up to a balcony overlooking the two-story family room. The island kitchen features cherry cabinets, dark granite kitchen counters and double ovens. The cabinet and countertop selections are duplicated in the master bath, which also features oversized ceramic tile. A media room provides space for family fun. The home’s three-car garage configuration, coupled with a porte-cochere, places two garage bays together and leaves one bay to be used for boat storage, a third car or a workshop. The home’s biggest surprise is in the backyard — a pool — included in the price of the home. With 4,070 square feet, the home is priced in the $440,000s.

Much lauded by industry peers for quality development, Bridgeland has won a prestigious local award for being a good community partner – Business of the Year — by the Cy-Fair Chamber of Commerce.

Criteria for the award include contributions to the community, either financial or service; environmental improvement and/or social responsibility; growth in employees and/or revenue; and active Chamber membership for at least one year.

“Being a strong community partner is important,” said Peter Houghton , Bridgeland’s vice president of sales. “As we help make the Cy-Fair area a better place to live and work, we are doing the same thing for our residents. We are honored to be recognized as Business of the Year.”

One of the Bridgeland community’s most noticeable amenities – Cypress Lake – is now sporting an amenity of its own, a 195-foot custom-designed pedestrian bridge that is a focal point of the lake.

The bridge, installed in August, will connect neighboring communities to the Cypress Creek Nature Trail, a six-mile path set along the historic Cypress Creek Corridor. The first 1.5-mile section of the trail, which will feature a mix of pathways with secondary trails weaving through densely wooded areas, is now open.
