Model Home Openings Continue in New Bridgeland Model Home Park

Bridgeland is starting the new year with new model homes as the community’s second model home park continues to expand.

A model by Village Builders is the latest addition to the park, which, upon completion, will have 12 model homes segmented by price in three adjacent locations. The new model home park is in The Cove, a distinctive collection of neighborhoods surrounded by water and boasting abundant common areas. It surrounds the acreage for Bridgeland’s first Cypress-Fairbanks school within the development, an elementary campus, with an estimated opening of 2012.

Village Builders just opened its Van Gogh design at 1256 Brook Cove Drive. The five-bedroom model home offers 4,234 square feet and a wealth of popular features. A butler’s pantry connects the kitchen and formal dining room and a lengthy veranda opens to both the master bedroom and main living area. Upstairs highlights include a game room and separate media room as well as a computer desk. Each of the secondary bedrooms — one of which is downstairs — has a walk-in closet and the three-car garage provides even more storage. A large work island with eating bar defines the kitchen space, which flows easily into the breakfast area and family room. Five-inch hardwood floors, antique-washed cabinets and rose granite countertops are just some of the model’s design features.

“This model is built to illustrate what buyers could get with a base price in the $410,000s,” said Village sales representative Christine Haven. “Every buyer receives $40,000 to spend in our design center on upgrades and we included approximately $50,000 in upgrades in the model.”

Village Builders has several finished inventory homes in Bridgeland, with base pricing from the $340,000s to the low $400,000s. The builder has six homesites remaining in The Cove, and will open more homesites in the nearby Water Haven neighborhood this spring.

Also open in The Cove model home park are two designs by Perry Homes and one by D.R. Horton. Lennar Homes, David Weekley Homes, Highland Homes and Trendmaker Homes have models under construction and Partners in Building will start model home construction soon. A grand opening for the park will take place this spring.

Planned for 21,000 homes and 65,000 residents, the Bridgeland community offers more than 200 designs priced from the $180,000s to more than $1 million from a slate of well-known Houston builders. More than 3,000 acres are devoted to waterways, lakes, trails, parks and open space.
