The evening of January 21, 2020 was filled with awards and accolades for Bridgeland and sister communities, The Woodlands and The Woodlands Hills, who all received several awards at The National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB) annual event held in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Each year, the Nationals, the homebuilding industry’s most prestigious awards competition, recognizes outstanding achievement in community development, homebuilding and marketing efforts throughout North America. Bridgeland was honored with a Gold Award in the category of Best Landscape in a Community for Parkland Village.

The approach to designing Parkland Village is the feeling of living within a park. Incorporating elements inspired by Prairie School Architecture and the Emerald Necklace park system in Boston brings residents closer to nature. The landscape offers a calm welcome, helping to wash away a hectic day as you head home. Walking paths and parkscapes blend with natural elements giving picturesque views at every turn, while the rustically idyllic landscape provides an ecosystem for native wildlife.

This thoughtful planning is what helped Bridgeland to gain recognition and attain this notable award.

The Gold Award for Best Landscape adds to the many accolades Bridgeland has received in its 13-year history. After recently becoming the #1 selling master planned community in Northwest Houston, NAHB’s recognition of Parkland’s landscape validates what residents already appreciate.

In addition to the Gold Award, Bridgeland brought home Silver Awards for Best Community Amenity for Dragonfly Park, while Activity Director, Rachel Johnson, also received a silver award for Best Lifestyle Director for her efforts in providing fun ways for residents to engage with each other and the outdoors.

Along with sister communities, The Woodlands and The Woodlands Hills, Bridgeland also received a Silver Award for the category of Best Realtor/Broker Program. Additionally, The Howard Hughes Corporation’s Kim Phillips, Vice President of Marketing, earned a Silver Award for the Marketing Professional of the Year category. Other properties within The Howard Hughes Corporation’s portfolio were also recognized during this prestigious event. The Summerlin property in Las Vegas, Nevada, received the coveted Gold Award for Best Master Planned Community.

As our community continues to grow, residents can expect the development to continue its commitment to design excellence and inspired visions that elevate lifestyles. In the future, Bridgeland will be launching Bridgeland Central, an epicenter of commerce within the development, which is expected to become one of NW Houston’s most vibrant urban mixed-use hubs, embracing retail, dining, entertainment, office space and more.
