When it comes to having fun with your furry friend, Bridgeland is the place to be. We have peaceful walking trails, so everyone can get their daily steps and sniffs in and a large fenced-in dog park with water and shaded benches. But, on top of all that, our biggest event of the year is the now-famous Howl-O-Ween Fest, which is carefully planned with our four-legged residents in mind. Bridgeland is the place to have a bark-ing good time for people and pets.

Dog-Friendly Community All Year Long

Howl-O-Ween Fest

Our hugely pup-ular annual event Howl-O-Ween Fest is now in its 10th year. Headlining the stage this year was The Canine Stars, North America’s premier stunt dog show! Howl fun is that? This exciting, family-friendly extreme sports production highlights popular dog sports, such as dock diving, freestyle frisbee disc, flyball racing and more, in a one-of-a-kind show that features dogs of an array of breeds and mixes that have been rescued or adopted from shelters. Other acts on stage this year included award-winning magician and illusionist Lanny Kibbey and a fascinating K-9 demonstration.

In between shows, families loved to check out the kids fall fest area, sponsored by Primrose School of Bridgeland, to jump in the bounce houses, run through an obstacle course, and so much more! Other favorite activities were pumpkin decorating, trick-or-treating for kids and pets, roaming entertainment, face painting, a seasonal farmers market, and food trucks galore.

On-site animal adoptions and pet foster family recruitment took place again. Last year, almost 9,000 people and their dogs joined in, and together, we raised nearly $3,000 for the animal rescue groups that were on-site holding pet adoptions and recruiting pet foster families.

Fenced Dog Park

Set in scenic Lakeland Village Park, a 20-acre greenspace boasting a plethora of unique features, sits Bridgeland’s large fenced-in dog park with separate areas for large and small dogs, water bowls and pet waste bags. Take a seat on one of the benches under the cool shade structures, so you can relax in comfort while you watch your dog run wild like a wolf and get in lots of healthy canine socialization. Plus, dogs sleep better after a giant play date!

It’s pretty obvious that we are one super-duper dog-friendly community here in Bridgeland. We’ve built the entire community from the ground up with our four-legged residents in mind. In Bridgeland, the activities and amenities for you and your dog to enjoy together are endless.
