Building a new home requires making many decisions along the way. It also takes a considerable amount of time to visit model homes and search out homesites. Just as technology is reforming the way we do most things, by making tasks easier to accomplish and in less time, the award-winning community of Bridgeland is leveraging technology to transform the homebuying process.

Our community is one of the first in Texas to utilize a revolutionary platform known as Runway. It’s a one-stop system that allows homebuyers to virtually customize their home. A hugely successful trial version was first used by homebuyers in Parkland Square in 2020. The consumer-driven, home search tool offered buyers the ability to maintain social distancing while exploring options for building their new home. Runway is now available on Bridgeland.com for homebuyers looking to purchase a new home from any of Bridgeland’s 17 builders in all of Parkland Village and Prairieland Village.

“Runway is revolutionizing the way we do business in Bridgeland, elevating the consumer experience by making sales easier, more seamless, and less stressful for all parties involved,” said Heath Melton, President, Phoenix Region for The Howard Hughes Corporation. “This will speed up the home buying process by allowing future homeowners to find the home they want, in the neighborhood they want, and allowing them to search inventory from all of our builders via their digital devices. Buying a new home in Bridgeland has never been easier, and we’re excited to be one of the first master planned communities in Texas to offer this innovative technology.”

The technology offers time-saving benefits for homebuyers, builders and Realtors. Runway enables homebuyers to choose a builder, pick an elevation and floor plan based on personal needs and budget, making sure it fits on the chosen lot, and see a 3D rendering of it – all before meeting with a builder or Realtor. Not only does the platform give the ability to see where the house sits as compared to schools and amenities, but you can also map out things like travel time and commuting distances, then save your selections to your list of favorites. All of this can be accessed right from your laptop or cell phone in the comfort of your home, or if you prefer, from the large touch screen inside the Welcome Center.

Builders and Realtors can communicate directly through the Runway app, sharing inventory, move-in ready homes, maps and other digital assets in real time. Home and lot matching enables Realtors to create ready-to-purchase home packages with accurate pricing. Inventory lists can be shared with clients and allows for real-time feedback. Access to information is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, enabling Realtors to set up viewings or initiate a sale by securing a lot online. It’s another time-saving feature that also eliminates the disappointment of finding out a homesite is no longer available.

One of the first of its kind, Bridgeland’s implementation of Runway is transforming the journey of purchasing a new home by connecting buyers with Realtors and builders like never before. Designed to make most aspects of the home buying process easier, it will shorten the length of time it takes to narrow down your search. Use the feature on Bridgeland.com to virtually see what’s possible in making your dream home a reality.
