The sky’s the limit on the fun, fitness, relaxation and education at Bridgeland’s resort-style activity centers.
If only there were a perfect place where everyone in the family could have a great time doing different things at the same time close to home. In Bridgeland, there are more than one at the resort-style activity centers in each village!
Lakeland Activity Center
Bridgeland residents enjoy one of the best resort-style facilities in the Greater Houston area. Encompassing more than six acres adjacent to Lake Bridgeland, Lakeland Activity Center features a 6,000-square-foot Community Center and is home to a full-time Activities Director who plans year-round events for residents. The community center houses a fitness center as well as multiple classrooms, a full kitchen, and meeting rooms for gatherings and receptions.
The resort-style swimming complex boasts a six-lane junior Olympic-size pool, a diving well with two platforms, and a gradual-depth play pool with volleyball nets. Two 30-foot sky slides and a spray park feature fountains and creative water toys. A pool for young children offers slides and spray toys.
You’ll also find tennis courts, picnic tables, and a playground in a picture-perfect park setting for an afternoon of fun and relaxation. Residents can view an events calendar by regularly checking the official Bridgeland resident website at www.bridgelandlife.com.
Dragonfly Park
Now open in Parkland Village is Dragonfly Park, Bridgeland’s newest amenity. Spanning 25-acres, the state-of-the-art activity center includes a well-appointed fitness center, flex rooms, playground, sprayground, tennis courts, open play field, basketball court, dog park, kayak launch, and hike and bike trails. The swimming complex features a fitness pool and fitness lawn, leisure pool with beach entry, lazy river, and rope pool with a deep-water element.
An event hall and lawn is the perfect setting for private functions, with seating for up to 150 people. If a larger space is needed, grand bi-fold doors on the lakeside of the event space can be opened to include the patio and lawn area, creating an outdoor experience that will accommodate an additional 100 guests.
The building’s open floor plan and modern aesthetic was inspired by Prairie School architecture, a nod to Frank Lloyd Wright. A walkway between buildings features a canopy of stained glass, which creates a colorful visual experience unlike any other in northwest Houston.
