The Howard Hughes Corporation is committed to being part of the fabric of the community. As a real estate development company, we understand the need for sustainability applies equally to people as it does to our environment. That’s why we continue to donate to over 130 charitable causes each year. By investing in area organizations, programs like our Fall Giving Drive strengthen individuals, support causes, and uplift the community.
The Fall Giving Drive is running from September 1 through 30. Bridgeland, in conjunction with our sister community The Woodlands Hills, will donate $500 on behalf of homebuyers, for every new home purchased within the two communities. Homeowners purchasing within the timeframe can choose to designate their donation to one of the following five local charities: Cy-Fair Education Foundation, Home Aid Houston, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Montgomery County Food Bank, and YES to YOUTH. Bridgeland is the #1 selling community in Houston and throughout all of Texas, which means this campaign can have an enormous impact to these area charities.
The Howard Hughes Corporation will not be alone in this effort. This year’s Fall Giving Drive will also have 100% of the homebuilders in Bridgeland and The Woodlands Hills as well as some Realtor® partners donating to the selected charities, providing an even greater impact for the charities and the meaningful work they do. Platinum contributors include Beazer Homes, Century Communities, Chesmar Homes, Coventry Homes, Darling Homes, David Weekley Homes, Fedrick Harris Estate Homes, Gehan Homes, Highland Homes, Lennar, M/I Homes, Newmark Homes, Partners in Building, Perry Homes, Ravenna Homes, Taylor Morrison, Village Builders, Westin Homes, and Ray Larson Group – Re/Max The Woodlands and Spring. Silver contributors include Neighbors Ellis Team – Better Homes and Gardens Gary Greene, The Franklin Team Brokered by eXp Realty, The Lippincott Team – Keller Williams Platinum, The Tello Team – eXp Realty, and Shelley Colley – The Franklin Team.
HomeAid Houston pairs long-term homeless care providers with builders, vendors and suppliers who donate time, treasure, and talent to build additional transitional homeless shelters; Cy-Fair Educational Foundation has been providing educational scholarships to graduating seniors for 47 years while also supporting staff development; The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society funds cutting-edge research to advance cures for blood cancers; YES to YOUTH provides crisis intervention, counseling and suicide prevention services to support the emotional and mental health of youth and their families in Montgomery County; and Montgomery County Food Bank serves over 35,000 people each month in their quest to fight hunger.
Bridgeland’s Fall Giving Drive is part of The Howard Hughes Corporation’s corporate social responsibility program, HHCares, a community-focused philanthropic program dedicated to volunteerism and financial donations to local non-profits.
By engaging residents, builders and Realtors in philanthropic events such as the Fall Giving Drive, we hope to encourage continued giving and volunteerism within the Bridgeland community. Donations made to these charities will aid in the future betterment of our immediate community and region for years to come.
