Howard Hughes Breaks Ground on 51,000-Square-Foot Medical Facility for Memorial Hermann

A vital component in developing Bridgeland, one of the nation’s top-selling master planned communities is providing residents with access to quality healthcare. A significant step toward that milestone was met recently when Howard Hughes broke ground on a build-to-suit medical office building for healthcare leader Memorial Hermann.

Memorial Hermann is consistently ranked as one of the country’s top rehabilitation hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. The 51,000-square-foot facility will provide accessible care for Bridgeland’s 26,000 current residents and surrounding communities.

Located on the southwest corner of Fry Road and Tuckerton Road in Parkland Village, Memorial Hermann’s modern medical facility will meet the healthcare demands for area families. The new facility will offer versatile spaces tailored to accommodate a wide range of on-site services, including emergency services, primary care, pediatrics, and sports medicine. When illness or injuries occur, having a medical facility so close to home will make it easier to care for your family’s health needs.

Memorial Hermann’s facility is the initial phase of 1 million square feet of planned medical facilities providing quality healthcare to an estimated 70,000 residents when Bridgeland is built out. Envisioned as a complete community, Bridgeland will accommodate most of a family’s daily needs including more choices for healthcare, schools, retail, restaurants, vibrant open space, as well as providing a diverse mix of job offerings.

Some of those choices can now be found in phase one of Village Green at Bridgeland Central. Bridgeland H-E-B opened last October, and Memorial Herman-GoHealth Urgent Care also opened at the start of the new year, providing residents with quality, on-demand healthcare. The area’s first mass timber office building is slated to open this fall, and residents are currently enjoying Crust Pizza, Sweet Paris Crêperie & Café, and Gelato & Co. Coming soon, Village Green will also include Starbucks, Teal Poppy, Venetian Nail Spa, Jonathan’s The Rub, and P. Terry’s Burger Stand.
