Single family homes in Northwest Houston continue to be in high demand. Selling a total of 713 new homes in 2021, Bridgeland finds itself, again, at the top of the list, as one of the top-selling master planned communities in the country. According to a recent report by RCLCO, a real estate consulting firm that tracks national new home sales, Bridgeland earned the ranking of top-selling master planned community in the Greater Houston area, #2 in the state of Texas, and #15 in the nation.

“Homebuyers continue to seek out Bridgeland’s high-performing schools, outstanding amenities and expansive parks and trail systems, driving the tremendous momentum we see year after year as Bridgeland grows from over 17,000 today to ultimately 65,000 residents,” said Health Melton, a Regional President who has led residential development of master planned communities for The Howard Hughes Corporation. “As we see the millennial generation continue to be the leading demographic of home purchasers in Bridgeland, we will accelerate development of a wide range of housing options and price points to meet the great demand for all that Bridgeland offers.”

The expanding community now includes Prairieland Village, the third of four planned villages offering a distinctive selection of home styles that embrace prairie and meadow-like landscaping. Keep an eye out for Prairieland’s grand opening announcement that will be held this spring.

Also at the top of the list are the schools our children attend. All schools within Bridgeland have an A rating from the Texas Education Agency. Additional schools coming soon to Bridgeland are Cy-Fair Elementary School #57 in Parkland Village and Waller ISD Elementary School in Prairieland Village. Additionally, Cypress Christian School will be relocating its private school campus to Prairieland with an estimated opening in 2025. Completing Bridgeland’s educational campus is Bridgeland Middle School, which should be completed to welcome students by the 2023-2024 school year.

Bridgeland continues to draw homebuyers by integrating environmentally sustainable design while providing a walkable, interconnected community that encourages a healthy lifestyle. Now home to people from across the globe, Bridgeland residents are as diverse as the wildlife that live and migrate here. When you look at the great domestic migration that’s taking place as people and business seek a low cost of living and high quality of life in a business-friendly environment, it is easy to understand why Bridgeland is the top-selling community in the Houston region.
