A large part of Bridgeland’s success has stemmed from the partnerships with Houston’s top home builders. Their designs and responsiveness to produce homes that align with the vision for Bridgeland are the first step in providing residents with a top-tier living experience, alongside the thoughtfully designed amenities, sustainability elements and cultural connectivity in the #1 selling master planned community in Texas.

Bridgeland is excited to announce the builder lineup for the first four sections where presales have now begun. Homes will be offered in a variety of price points so homebuyers will find one that’s just right for them. Highland Homes and David Weekley Homes in section 1 will build on 40-foot lots. Section 2 will be built by Chesmar Homes and Perry Homes on 45-foot homesites. Section 3 features homes from Beazer Homes, Lennar and M/I Homes on 50-foot homesites and section 4 will offer homes built by Coventry Homes and Perry Homes on 55-foot homesites. Those looking for a larger lot size will find those available in September. Model home construction is anticipated to begin in early fall, which means you’ll be able to walk through the decorated models in early 2022. Interested buyers may meet now with builders in the model home park located in Parkland Village to view Prairieland Village home options. “We are continuing our long standing partnership with a trusted group of builders who not only produce high-quality homes, but complement the vision and commitment to excellence in Bridgeland,” said Heath Melton, Executive Vice President of Master Planned Communities, Residential, for The Howard Hughes Corporation. “Buyers have the opportunity to design their new homes to their desire and needs while being a part of a community with excellent amenities, schools and inspiration drawn from the beauty and native ecosystem of the surrounding natural setting. We are thrilled about the many different offerings our builders will be able to provide to our future residents.”

Prairieland Village Model Home Park

Those searching for a home in Prairieland will find prairie-centric architecture in symphony with the community’s natural surroundings. Builders within Prairieland Village will embrace modern architecture, with flat planes and horizontal lines evoking the expansiveness of wide open prairies. Combining a modern aesthetic and the use of natural elements, Bridgeland’s third village will feature materials like natural wood and weathered steel to contrast the soft textures of prairie grasses. Textured concrete painted in bold colors will be found in common spaces like parks and gathering areas to contrast the softer hues of natural plantings. The combination will add dabs of color to the canvas of our landscape.

Bridgeland’s third village will expand the community to the other side of Grand Parkway. Children living in Prairieland will attend some of the highest-rated schools in Texas. Those living in the initial four sections mentioned above will attend Cy-Fair schools and the rest of the sections will be zoned mostly to Waller ISD with some zoned to Katy ISD as development progresses to the southern end of Prairieland.

Inspired by the beauty of the prairie, residents will find the butterfly is a prominent theme in Prairieland Village. Its use will be similar to that of the heron in Lakeland Village and the dragonfly in Parkland Village. You’ll find butterfly icons on signage monuments and on address plaques and to continue highlighting pollinators, all street and section names within the new village will feature a butterfly variety. Mourning Cloak, the first neighborhood in Prairieland Village, is named after the butterfly with a 3-inch wingspan. This large, dark beauty is edged in yellow and has unique markings. Landscaping throughout the village – even home fronts – will be planted with pollinator favorites to encourage their prominence while migrating through our area.

With the addition of world-class amenities, shopping and dining options, as well as a commitment to utilizing regenerative landscapes, raingardens and bioswales to protect ecosystems, Prairieland Village will continue to immerse residents with experiences in nature, helping them connect with each other and with their natural environment in vibrant natural spaces. Upon completion, Prairieland Village will be home to approximately 26,000 residents adding almost 7,000 homesites to our award-winning community. A grand opening highlighting the best of what Prairieland Village has to offer is planned for the spring of 2022.
