Greater Houston Builders Association Awards Bridgeland for Best Community Entrance for Creekland Village

Howard Hughes’ top-selling master planned community, Bridgeland was recently awarded Best Community Entrance for Creekland Village at the Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) PRISM Awards. Presented by the Sales & Marketing Council of the GHBA, the prestigious awards gala recognizes the finest industry talent including builders, developers, architects, designers, marketers and merchandisers. Held on Saturday, October 5 at the Post Oak Hotel, winners were chosen from hundreds of submissions by a panel of judges made up of industry professionals from across the nation.

The grand opening of Creekland Village, Bridgeland’s fourth residential village took place in the fall of 2023. Bordering scenic Cypress Creek, the thoughtfully designed village embraces the area’s ecology as creeks and waterways are incorporated around homesites. “We are honored to be recognized by industry peers and to receive the PRISM award for our community entrance monument in Creekland Village that honors the ebb and flow of water,” said Steve Sams, Senior Vice President, MPC Residential for Howard Hughes Holdings Inc. Abstract vertical rods in Creekland’s entry monument resemble water droplets falling from the sky in an artfully designed sculpture that was inspired by the neighboring wetlands. “All of Bridgeland has been designed using an environmentally sustainable philosophy and residents are reminded of the importance of the region’s creek system each time they arrive home.”

Embracing Cypress Creek and the surrounding greenway, over 54% of Creekland Village is dedicated to open space, encouraging active and passive resident engagement with nature. Bridgeland has always approached development with careful consideration of the environment, applying practices for sustainability of resources to create a community where people and nature thrive in harmony. Receiving a PRISM award for Creekland’s entry monument is validation of the masterful design used by Howard Hughes and that preserving and protecting the land that’s developed positively impacts ecosystems and the lives of residents.
