If Lakeland Village Center is your favorite go-to destination for a bite to eat, a cup of coffee or even your neighborhood workout spot, it is sure to become your favorite place to hang out with friends when Local Bar opens its doors, just a few short weeks from now.

Shervin Sharifi, one of the owners of Lakeland Village’s popular eatery Local Table, is just as eager as residents for the opening of open Local Bar. Anticipating that final touches and inspections will happen soon, they’ll be serving up your favorite beer and craft cocktails before you know it.

The owner of Local Table has gotten a favorable response to his restaurant that boasts freshly prepared food and is definitely feeling the love of area residents. Cooler temperatures have patrons enjoying the patio and to-go orders are increasing to a point where they’ll be offering their own in-home delivery service. Sharifi is also doing all he can to show support for the community through sponsorships such as Little League Athletics and most recently, The Cypress Music Festival.

The bar will be modeled after its sister establishment in Katy, and in addition to serving up a variety of craft cocktails, wine, and 12 different types of beer, they will also offer a bar menu that will be separate from the restaurant, but some appetizers, like baked goat cheese and spinach & artichoke dip, and the wood stone pizza will mimic what is served at Local Table and all menu items will be prepared using fresh food and local purveyors.

Sharifi envisions Local Bar to be a higher-end bar, but not necessarily with a higher price tag. A relaxing place that’s not so run-of-the-mill, where friends and neighbors can gather, listen to some good music while enjoying a beverage and great service. You may even catch the highlights from your favorite team on one of the many TVs that will be positioned behind the bar and along the side wall. The rustic contemporary decor and a sound system that will pipe in a mix of music from classic rock, to country and popular artists will surely add to that relaxed atmosphere.

Stay tuned, for news will spread quickly when the doors are finally open. Local Bar is located at 10615 Fry Rd. just across from Local Table. The bar will be open seven days a week. The hours are yet to be determined but will most likely mirror the Katy location.
