On October 3 the Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) recognized Bridgeland with the Master Planned Community of the Year Award at their annual 2020 PRISM Awards gala, held virtually this year. Despite the challenges presented by the pandemic, Bridgeland was recently ranked as the #1 selling community in Texas and one of the top ten best-selling communities in the nation, in a mid-year report by RCLCO, real estate consultants that report on trends in the homebuilding industry.
By providing award winning amenities like Josey Lake, Dragonfly Park, Tree House Park, and so many, many other unique parks and trails, The Howard Hughes Corporation is dedicated to design excellence, providing healthy and active lifestyles for its residents. This dedication continues to be a driving force in Bridgeland’s growing number of industry accolades.
Bridgeland was joined on the virtual awards platform by its sister community when The Woodlands Hills was presented the award for Master Planned Community Landscape Design. In addition to these highly coveted awards, both of The Howard Hughes Corporation communities received finalist honors in several categories. Bridgeland was a finalist in the categories of Master planned Community Recreational Center of the Year for Dragonfly Park and Activity Center and Sales Information Center of the Year Award for the Bridgeland Welcome Center. Martha Gros of Bridgeland’s marketing group earned a finalist distinction for Marketing Professional of the Year. The Woodlands Hills was a finalist in the category of Master Planned Community Entrance of the Year and marketing categories of: Marketing Campaign of the Year; Direct Mail Piece of the Year; and Print Ad of the Year.
The GHBA is a trade organization representing all aspects of the residential homebuilding and remodeling industry. Each year, the PRISIM Awards recognize the finest achievements among the area’s builders, developers, marketers and Realtors in 11 counties surrounding and including Harris county. Industry peers judged over 700 entries in 100 categories, using strict criteria, making it an honor to win the area’s premier award.
The Howard Hughes Corporation was also named as a finalist in the Developer of the Year category, as well as Billboard of the Year and Internet Marketing Campaign of the Year for the Spring Giving Drive, which raised significant funds for five area charities.
The PRISM Awards validate The Howard Hughes Corporation’s determination to create communities that impact the lives of residents and visitors in positive ways. As the community continues to expand west of the Grand Parkway with the near-future opening of Prairieland Village, Bridgeland will continue to offer its residents opportunities to be more connected – with each other and with their surroundings– for a healthier way of life.
