You’ve asked your dog if he wanted to go to the park. Duke lets you know he understands by tilting his head and smiling excitedly. Soon your furry friend will have one more reason to wag his tail, as Bridgeland will be home to another dog park. Under construction in the Red Admiral neighborhood of Prairieland Village, Happy Tails dog park will be Percy’s favorite place to play fetch.

“Thoughtfully designed recreational amenities are among the elements that set Bridgeland apart as one of the leading communities in the nation,” said Steve Sams, Senior Vice President, MPC Residential for Howard Hughes. “Happy Tails will offer an environment where Prairieland Village’s four-legged residents can safely play together, while providing a spacious, seated area for our residents to enjoy.”

Bridgeland has 250 miles of beautiful trails to walk with Winston, but sometimes he needs a little dog time. Happy Tails dog park is the latest addition for pets, joining Lakeland Village dog park, Lippincott Bark Park in Dragonfly Park, and there is also a dog park located in Celebration Park in Parkland Square.

Located off Flowering Ivy Drive, the park easily connects to the walking trail and nearby lake. Going to the dog park is a great way to socialize Sammy and Simba and an opportunity to get to know other residents as well. Dedicated areas for small and large dogs will give Rufus and Reggie plenty of space to romp with friends. Residents will find bench seating under a shade arbor that features a decorative panel with paw print inlays. Bentley has the ability to recognize the color blue, so you will notice the color infused throughout the park. With trees dotting the perimeter, the park will offer shade, and in keeping with the village theme of painted by nature, gardens will be flush with meadow-like plantings.

Happy Tails dog park will feature drinking water stations at just the right height and bag stations will be available so you can be considerate and clean up after Peppy.

All dogs have super powers. They know just how to cheer us up when we’re down, stay right beside us when we’re sick, and make us smile after a long day. Why not let Goldie know she’s a good girl, and take her for a walk – or ride – to one of Bridgeland’s dog parks. She’ll let you know she’s happy by wagging her tail.

Prairieland Village is the third of four villages in Bridgeland and offers a variety of floor plans and price points from 14 of Houston’s top-ranked homebuilders. Prairieland is also home to Chrysalis Lake and Longwing Landing Amenity Center, and Happy Tails dog park will add yet another outdoor space for community gatherings. A fall 2024 opening of Happy Tails is anticipated.
