Lake Bridgeland. Josey Lake and Cypress Lake

Basking on the banks of more than 400 acres of lakes and meandering waterways, residents of the first phases of Bridgeland enjoy picturesque views of tranquil water from their homes or spend their leisure time playing on the water. Upon completion, Bridgeland will offer more than 900 acres of lakes.

Throughout favorable seasons of the year, residents can jump into canoes and kayaks on one of the many lakes and waterways throughout the community, or take a ride around the activity center on paddle boats.

Parents can teach their children how to fish at the catch-and-release lakes around the property. Several species of fish including catfish, blue cat, brim and spotted bass were once stocked and now reside in our lakes. A resident group formed to create fish habitats making our lakes more sustainable. By providing a food source for local and visiting fowl, the group’s efforts have eliminated the need for yearly stocking.
