Working parents want to know their child is in a safe and supportive environment. This gives parents peace of mind and a guilt-free ability to focus on their jobs. Many studies show that enriching childcare with hands-on learning opportunities offer children social, emotional and educational benefits.

That’s the philosophy behind The Goddard School teaching method. Groundbreaking recently took place at 21722 Tuckerton Road in Bridgeland, where the future 10,800 square-foot childcare center will be located. The nationally acclaimed AdvancED- and Middle States-accredited early childcare education provider believes that learning happens best in a warm and caring environment, through self-discovery and play.

Their website further explains their approach to teaching children and that they are more than just daycare. The Goddard School in Bridgeland will offer children ages six weeks to six years old an opportunity to develop a lifelong love for learning. Using the most current, academically endorsed methods in early childhood education, the school also offers summer programs, a scholarship program, and a child care program provided by dedicated teachers in a private preschool setting. Teachers use children’s innate curiosity as teaching moments to create one-of-a-kind lessons. They call it the F.L.EX® framework, or Fun Learning Experience to customize lessons to fit a child’s interests.

“One of the reasons why parents move to Bridgeland is access to quality education options, making Goddard a perfect fit for our community,” said Jim Carman, President of the Houston Region for The Howard Hughes Corporation. “Goddard joins a diverse group of highly rated schools and childcare programs in Bridgeland, allowing for flexibility and choices where children can learn and develop in a supportive environment. The Goddard School’s tremendous record of success in communities across the country has earned the reputation as a first-class learning program.”

The franchise is owned by longtime Bridgeland resident Sarah Prause, who also opened the Goddard School of Cypress in 2012. She and her husband are raising four boys, three of whom now attend Bridgeland High School. They love everything about our community and are proud to offer area parents a quality early childhood education option near their homes.

At the Goddard School in Bridgeland, children will be exposed to a range of enrichment activities such as: chess, yoga, robotics, music and outdoor activities, helping them to develop socially, culturally and physically. From reading nooks to computer labs, an indoor gym and age-appropriate outdoor play spaces, your child’s day will be filled with numerous opportunities to explore, learn, see and do. With the support and encouragement of skilled educators, they’ll learn to develop relationships with peers and teachers, gain independence, and social-emotional skills necessary to be successful in school and life. And you’ll be reassured, knowing your child is well cared for throughout the work day.

With the addition of the Goddard School, Bridgeland continues to offer families high-quality education and childcare opportunities. The Goddard School is a nationally acclaimed early childcare education provider with over 570 schools in 38 states. One of more than 55 schools in the state of Texas, the Bridgeland location – projected to open in 2023 – is currently enrolling students.
